| In
creating Master Plans
RJM closely collaborates with the residents, developers and
governmental agencies to address the wide range of common
concerns and issues related to developing these plans. A public
design workshop is a tool RJM often uses to discuss program,
use enhancement and design issues.
RJM's final Master Plan addresses urban development, land
use issues, recreational opportunities, infrastructure, vehicular
and pedestrian access, and various other site specific issues.
Environmental
concerns take the forefront of development plans that RJM
creates. Aesthetic appropriateness, water and air quality,
biological and cultural resources should be minimally impacted
and eventually improved through the implementation ensuring
the plan creates an appropriate enhancement to the quality
of life for residents and visitors.
To
insure consistency, RJM creates a generalized policy document
for each master plan with standards, concepts and a description
of implementation mechanisms for use as an internal planning
tool.
RJM
can provide design guidelines, development plans, improvement
plans, streetscape plans, community imagery and character
studies all for the purpose of creating lasting, viable and
livable communities. |
