Community Centers

Community Centers provide recreational, cultural, educational and social programs that perpetuate, strengthen and serve the community. RJM Design Group works closely with community user groups to ensure all designs enrich and improve the quality of life in each community.

The basic element of any community center is the sense of human "belonging" that is projected by building accessibility, openness and public invitation to enter. For most users, this belonging feeling starts long before approaching the front door. Thus the landscape architect's approach to a community center is to design a park with a building in it, and consider the sequence of arrival and entrance experiences as part of a holistic environment.
