The El Monte High School Expansion consisted of a new library building, additional classroom space, and hardscape/landscape improvements. RJM Design Group was responsible for site planning and design of the expanded campus.
The new library building was designed to be the central focal point of the design. The design reflected the art deco themes of the existing campus buildings and included a plaza with special pedestrian paving, seatwalls, a “wall of wisdom,” and raised planter areas.
