Chino High School Track
Chino, CA
In a collaborative effort with the Chino Unified School District and the County of San Bernardino, the City of Chino undertook the construction of an all-weather synthetic track at the existing Chino High School. The project consisted of the conversion of an eight-lane decomposed granite track to a new nine-lane, 400-meter synthetic track with grading, track striping and a state of the art ACO drainage system. Project upgrades also included electrical modifications for scoreboards and an audio system. The existing asphaltic concrete long jump and pole vault events were replaced with synthetic surfacing and concrete headers. The project drawings were processed and approved through the Division of the State Architect.
The new nine-lane, 400-meter all-weather track will enable the City of Chino to host a wider range of track and field competition events in the years to come.
