RJM's design goal for regional parks is to balance protection and preservation of the natural environment while maintaining a regional focus and providing a variety of recreational programs for the public.

Facility programs usually evolve from a public workshop process and are designed based upon the expressed community needs, coupled with the character and ecology of the site.
