The sandy bottom, 1950’s Puerto Pensco Swim Lagoon served the community for many years but is getting a well deserved update arrived at through a public workshop process.

The updated Lagoon design, community participants helped create, includes:

• “Lazy river” floating event
• Two wet playgrounds for differing ages of children
• Water slide for older children and adults
• Multipurpose rectangular pool for polo, volleyball and other sports/recreation activities

 

Aesthetic features include:

• Waterfall focal point
• Thematic streambed water feature
• Adequate deck sunning and circulation paving.
• New shower/locker rooms
• Arrival/ticketing area
• Concessions building
• Restrooms
• Pump house
• Permanent shade canopy trellises
