The Santa Clarita Sports Complex Master Plan was developed for an existing recreation center and skate park. The Master Plan began in 1997 as a park master plan, and has evolved in 2002 to accommodate the first phase of construction for the aquatic center and community center. Facilities include:

• Competition 25 meter x 25 yard pool
• Recreation/warm-up pool
• 2,800 sf recreation “spray ground” with interactive water jets and beach entries

Support facilities for aquatics included:

• Concession room
• Ticketing/office space
• Men’s, women’s and a family locker room/shower/restroom facilities
• Pump building
• Picnic shelters
• Plazas and complementary landscaping.

Other amenities on the site will include:

• Skate park
• Playgrounds
• Community center
• Teen center
