The
El Dorado
Hills Community Park Playground,
located north of the El Dorado Hills Community Center on Harvard
Way, is a popular addition to the community. Since its completion,
mid June 2002, it has had few rare moments when a child can't
be seen clinging to the climbing wall or teetering on the
space-age seesaw or spinning as fast as they can on the "human
tops".
Two
playground areas were designed under tent shade structures
keeping kids and adults cool even on the hottest days! An
interactive water feature in the sandbox provides a splash
of cool water on a parched face or unsuspecting play mate.
Play
areas are provided for a variety of ages and abilities. The
tot- lot engages toddlers with manipulative games, a smaller
slide and age appropriate equipment. It is completely fenced
with a wrought iron self closing system, keeping toddlers
away from the parking areas and the larger, faster, older
kids play area. The tot-lot equipment is also placed on a
"squishy", resilient surface, providing a soft fall
zone, minimizing the skin knee effect! There is plenty of
park bench seating along the pedestrian promenade for supervision
to sit and watch the fun or chat.
As
part of the first phase of building for the El
Dorado Hills Community Services District Park Master
Plan the Community Park Playground provides safe fun for everyone.
