Squaw Valley Park is a 20-acre park located in the alpine forest behind the Olympic Rings of the Squaw Valley Ski Area, at the corner of Highway 89 and Squaw Valley Road.

Squaw Valley Park is a synthesis of active and passive recreation elements within the watershed of the Truckee River.

The site contains:

  • Trail staging area/head for the renown Western States Trail
  • Multi-use trail extensions for bicycle, equestrian and pedestrians
  • Artificial turf soccer field - ensures no fertilizer runoff issues
  • Playground
  • Picnic area
  • Restrooms
  • Pedestrian bridges that avoid disturbing wetland areas
  • Parking area is designed for multiple use of autos, buses and equestrian trailers in order to accommodate a variety of large events and mass transit
