Create an early California landscape that utilized both
native and non-native species, provide a water efficient
landscape that addressed long-term maintenance concerns
and the selection of landscape plant material to reflect
the character of the local foothill area.

Establish a community identity and character with a consistent
and uniform streetscape to include hierarchy of intersection
monumentation. Use materials sympathetic to the regional
character of the area.

Provide passive recreational facilities for picnicking,
jogging, strolling, and viewing wildlife habitat. Create
educational opportunities of the natural systems and habitat.

Provide a system of community trails for convenient access
between neighborhoods, commercial centers, and open space,
with connection to the regional trail system along the Cucamonga
Creek Channel.

Restore the detention basin to a natural wetland/riparian
habitat for passive recreational usage.
