CHINO HILLS COMMUNITY PARK

The design process for this multi-use 60-acre park site included extensive community workshops, program development, preparation for alternative conceptual diagrams, preliminary plan alternatives, and preparation of the final master plan. The final park design nestled a sports center into a visually insulated landform, creating a major lighted sports facility with no visual or noise impact to the surrounding community. The sports fields are appropriately designed for the arid landscape, utilizing all synthetic playing surfaces that require no irrigation or fertilizers. The project was constructed in 2007 under budget and designed within the time schedules needed for the summer softball season.
