The City of Lake Forest General Plan Element of Parks and Recreation provides a framework for the planning and development of park and recreation facilities and program through the next twenty years.

The planning process included identification of city needs and subsequent surplus and deficiency of programs and facilities within the city. As a basis for making future decisions this Element also identifies specific goals within the financial capacity of the city as well as funding opportunities for acquisition and development.
